Experience

Francis has over 20 year’s professional business advisory experience. He originally trained as an accountant and statutory auditor in the City of London before specialising in tax with a UK top 20 firm. He relocated to Ireland in 2006 and completed his Irish tax training with an Irish Top 10 firm. Francis was placed first in Ireland in the Tax Management & Ethics paper at Part 3 of the Irish Tax Institute tax exams. He is currently a representative on the South West Region branch network of the Irish Tax Institute, and in addition to being a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser holds an Advanced Diploma in International Tax, so he is well placed to advise clients on both Irish and International tax issues.

Francis specialises in providing consultancy advice across all tax heads to companies, partnerships, trustees and private clients as well as providing services to other solicitors and accountants both in Ireland and the UK. He heads up the tax compliance function for our Irish and UK tax clients and works closely with Helena Tiernan in providing specialist advice to clients facing Revenue audits and interventions.
